Snow, fun,
mountain beats.

Winter mountain vibes

Right in the middle of the snow: you. Winter in the Kleinwalsertal isn’t just about skiing & snowboarding – although the slopes here are seriously good. Winter has much more to offer. Head out on a torchlight walk through the valley, explore quiet snowy slopes on snowshoes or simply wander through forests wrapped in fresh snow.

Brave enough for the peaks?

Winterlandschaft im Kleinwalsertal mit Blick auf Berge und die Auenhütte direkt an der Skipiste

Right on the slopes

Hotel & ski hut in one. Step outside, click into your skis or strap on your board – and off you go. Auenhütte is located right on the slopes at the Ifen. No carrying your gear. No ski bus. No detours through the valley. Perfect for anyone looking for a ski-in/ski-out hotel or an authentic ski hut in the Kleinwalsertal.

And thanks to the valley’s unique location, winter here reliably comes dressed in white – with excellent snow conditions for skiing, cross-country skiing and winter hiking.

Snowboarding & skiing at the Ifen

Snowboarding and skiing at the Ifen is all about winter fun – from relaxed runs to steep sections for those who like it a little more challenging. In between: wide-open spaces. Silence. Flow. A ski area in the Kleinwalsertal that gives you the freedom to do winter your way.

Freestyle & Board-Vibes

More style. Less show. It’s not about higher, faster, further – it’s about moving with the rhythm of the mountains. Perfect for snowboarders, freestylers and anyone who’d rather feel their powder turns than count them. The Ifen gives you space – for lines, flow and freedom.

Drop In

Off the board. Into the feeling.

Winter beyond the slopes

Tobogganing & Winter Fun

In the Kleinwalsertal, several toboggan runs and the Allgäu Coaster are waiting for anyone who likes a little extra fun in the snow. Sometimes you walk up, sometimes you take the lift or magic carpet – and then simply enjoy the ride down.

Winter Walk

Just start walking. In the morning, while the day is still quiet. Or in the afternoon, when the sun hangs low. Footsteps in the snow, crisp air in your lungs, your mind begins to clear. No destination, no rush. Just you, the trail – and those mountain views. A dream that simply happens along the way.

Back
to the Hut

Straight to the Laubela Mountain Club. Leave your skis or board outside and warm up. After a day in the snow, it’s time to slow down. Chillout areas, honest food, good beats. Where mountain air meets design.

Any questions?

Where can I find the piste map?

Here you’ll find the current piste map for the Hoher Ifen ski area, showing all slopes, lifts and lines at a glance.

Which ski passes do you recommend?

It’s best to check the current prices directly with the cable car company. Our tip: Multi-day ski passes are well worth it – more freedom, more time in the snow, more flow. Check ski pass prices.

Is there a ski rental nearby?

Yes – and it couldn’t be any closer. Ifen Sport Pauli is located right next to Auenhütte. Perfect for spontaneously renting or swapping the right equipment. Just step outside. Gear up. Hit the slopes. More here.

Where is Auenhütte located?

Right on the slopes. No carrying your gear. No detours through the valley. At Auenhütte, you stay right next to the piste – skis or board at your doorstep, the mountain right there.

No toboggan with you?

No problem. You can easily rent the right equipment from the sports shops in the valley. Tobogganing is simply part of winter here – easy, spontaneous and guaranteed to leave you with a big smile at the end of the run.
