The “Kleinwalsertal” Valley is a multi-faceted destination in winter. You can join a torchlight walk, a snowshoeing tour across the enchanting winter landscape or a leisurely winter stroll through snow-covered woodlands. The modern lift facilities in the ski area carry proficient and experienced winter sports enthusiasts to an altitude of almost 2000 metres. The “Ifen” Ski Area can cater for all tastes providing large scenic ski slopes to suit families as well as steep challenging ski runs and a vast area of ungroomed slopes for advanced and expert skiers.
The “Gaißbühl” slope is perfect to learn and practice skiing. The children’s area next to the hotel has been specially created to suit the needs of the youngest skiers.

Browse through the ski ticket rates of the lift operators. In any case, it is advisable to purchase a multi-day ski pass for a hassle-free and enjoyable skiing break.
Take out your skis from the storage room, clip them on and head off … The “Schwarzwassertal” Valley is one of the most popular areas for ski touring. The route takes you through an unspoilt natural scenery to the “Schwarzwasserhütte” Inn, which is open all year round. The sprawling “Gottesacker” plateau is an extraordinary place for ski touring making you feel as if you were in a different world.
The “Kleinwalsertal” Valley provides a network of cross-country skiing trails extending to 50 kilometres. There are three major routes taking you to hidden places, which are not accessible on foot. The local ski schools offer cross-country skiing courses. Using the shuttle bus and getting off at the third bus stop, you can immediately start for a workout on the “Küren-Wäldele-Egg” trail.
When you stay with us, there is no need to carry the snowboard or the skiing equipment to the bus stop and cross the entire valley, because you will sleep next to the ski slope. The Auenhütte Hotel is a privileged base for your holiday in both winter and summer.
